The actual session involves a series of laser pulses that results in a prickling and burning sensation. But don’t worry; the pain isn’t too bad. In fact, it’s similar to that of a rubber band snapping against your skin. No, it isn't necessary to wear eye protection while using our handset.  Our handsets are fitted with a sensor and will not pulse and light unless the entire window is pressed against your skin. That being said you should never try and look directly into the light as it flashes

We recommend using your handset once a week for the first 12 weeks. After this period use your handset once a month, for 3 months or until satisfied. To maintain hairless smooth skin, use your handset once every 2 to 3 months, or as needed.

    • You will need to leave the hair in their shafts in order for the laser to work on them. You can cut, trim, or shave hair as necessary. 


Between treatments you should only shave when required. You should never wax, pluck, or epilate as these hair removal methods removes the entire root, which is what absorbs the light during the treatment.

IPL is suitable for all but the darkest skin tones. Refer to the skin tone chart below to see whether or not IPL is suitable for you.

Although there is no evidence showing that IPL has negative effects on pregnant or breastfeeding women, we still don’t recommend using our handset as a precaution.

You should not IPL over very dark freckles or moles, however light freckles are fine.

You should not IPL over tattoos. However, going around tattoos is fine.

  • IPL relies on melanin in the hair absorbing the light energy, and therefore IPL is not effective on very light blonde, red, or grey coloured hair.

Yes, this is completely normal. As the light energy is heating the hair, you may smell a slight burning but this just means there may be some hairs that have not been shaved. Please ensure that you have prepped the skin correctly, and that the skin is completely shaved before starting your session.

Its recommended to avoid heavy sun exposure in the 24-48 hours after using IPL.

 We recommend using a gentle, fragrance -free lotion after laster hair removal sessions. Some people opt for aloe vera due to its soothing properties. Either way, using a moisturizer while undergoing laser hair removal not only helps nurture your skin, but it also helps control the inflammation that ensues after each session.

You have to go through each area 1-3 times per session. Then you can repeat the process once a week for a period of 12 weeks.

After you laser hair removal treatment, it is recommended to stay out of the sun because of your skin’s increased vulnerability to UV rays. 

You want your skin to be as light as possible during your treatments, so don’t go tanning or forget to wear sunscreen. Use a sunscreen with an SPF 50 or higher for two weeks before and after each treatment.

Artificial tan is fine after using our IPL.


But for sun tanning you should always wait 48 hours to tan after using your handset. 

If you have recently been sun tanning, we recommend waiting 2-4 days before using your handset.


The same applies for sun beds. We advise removing all artificial tan before using our handsets, as the light energy may be more attracted to the pigments in the skin, rather than the melanin in the hair.


You can reapply the artificial tan after your session once the skin has relaxed.

As there is heat involved, slight blackening on/around the light window is normal and will not affect your handset, how it works or the results at all.

Yes it comes with a universal USB charger.

The first time before using, you should charge it for 6 hours.

Then place on charge as needed for 3-6 hours.

For the best results we recommend following these steps:


1. Steam your face to open the pores. This can be done with a steamer, hot shower or hot/wet cloth on your face.

2. Dry your face off and begin using the Microdermabrasion Kit. Choose Oily, Normal or Dry mode based on your skin. 

Be sure to use in sweeping/gliding motions. Don't just hold over an area as it may cause bruising. 

3. Slight redness is normal, wash your face off with cold water to close up the pores when finished.

Yes it has 3 settings (Oily, Normal, or Dry skin).

Oily skin is the strongest setting, while Dry skin is the lowest setting.

No, the microdermabrasion kit must be used on clean, dry skin (no serum, cream, moisturiser etc) as it can clog the device.

If you see a “bruise” or “hickey” after using the Lux Skin Microdermabrasion kit then this indicates that the vacuum/suction setting is too strong, you’ve overworked your skin or your skin is too sensitive. Please DON’T stay in one place more than 3 seconds, just slide up and down to prevent these from happening. 

To clean your device, make sure it is turned off. Then, you can use a soft cloth, sponge or wet tissue to dry off the device. You can also use an alcohol to disinfect it, just make sure you wipe it off completely. Do not leave the device damp  and immediately dry off any moisture, water or chemicals on the device.

Once your order is verified and your payment is approved, processing begins. This takes approximately 3 - 5 business days -- not including weekends or holidays. After processing, orders are shipped from our warehouse.

In a perfect world, package deliveries arrive on time without any issues. But, in some cases, delays occur and here are the reasons why:

  • Failed delivery attempts – This occurs if there was no one there to receive the package or if the address is misspelt, incomplete or outdated. Usually, couriers make 2 or 3 attempts to deliver your package, but on different days. After these attempts, your package will most likely be stored in the courier’s warehouse for 5-7 days. Please contact your local post office immediately to track it down. If your package has already been sent back to us, simply Contact Us so we can resend it.
  • Delay caused by customs – International shipments are held up in customs to check that the contents and value of the package were declared accurately. Your tracking status will update soon after your package has been cleared and released. For updates, you may also contact your local post office or delivery service provider since a local tracking number may be provided to you for possible additional tracking events.
  • Marked as undeliverable – This happens if the courier has no access to the delivery location. Your package will then be sent back to us. If this is the case, Contact Us right away so we can resend your package.
  • Lost packages – One of the worst case scenarios why your package can get delayed is because it got lost along the way. Please contact first your local post office for updates. If you haven’t received it yet, Contact Us and we’ll do our best to help.
  • Weather conditions – Bad weather can block the roads or slow down the transit and cause a delayed delivery. Keep following up with your local post office to track the movement of your order.
  • Holidays – A sudden or unexpected increase in shipment delivery volumes is most common during the holiday season when the shopping extravaganza begins. Because of this, delivery may take longer than usual. Simply follow up with your local post office to track down your package.

Your tracking number will be in your shipping confirmation email (this may be in your spam or junk folder). If you still cannot find it, please message or email and we will provide it.


If your order has just shipped please allow 1-3 business days for tracking to update in the system.


If your order shows the 1st tracking scan, but has since not updated, then don't panic - the gap between the 1st and 2nd scan is 90% of the transit time. This does not mean your order is delayed :)



In these cases, we recommend getting in touch with the courier or shipping provider ASAP - - they’ll usually resend your package the next working day, or ask you to pick it up at their offices. If your order has been marked as delivered but you haven’t received it, please follow these next steps:

  1. Search around your door for a notice of attempted delivery.

  2. Look around the delivery location
    In order to protect your order from theft or weather, some delivery drivers might leave it around the bushes, in a grill, in a plastic bag, around your porch or another place where it can be protected.

  3. Make sure someone else hasn’t received your package
    It’s also likely a neighbor received your order or a family member that was available in your residence.

  4. Wait 36 hours
    Sometimes shipping companies marked an order as ‘Delivered’ while the package is still in transit. If after waiting this period of time, please get in touch with the shipping company.

All products can be cleaned using an alcoholic or sanitising wipe. Additionally, you can simply use a cloth damp with hot water.
